An archive of seasons with times and rankings – every swimmer can see their personal bests.

The most common swimming race and league formats

Choose the format that fits your meet – Blyzer generates the start list, results and standings. You can set up any format in the wizard in a few minutes.

Race

A classic swim meet – every swimmer starts for themselves in an event (e.g. 50 m freestyle, 100 m breaststroke) and the time decides the ranking. Results by category and overall.

How to: Create race → Configure → events and categories → open entries → enter times.

Club league or cup

A series of meets over the season – points in the swimmer or club standings for every round, an overall winner at the end. For clubs, schools and regional cups.

How to: Create league → Configure → number of rounds and points system → Generate schedule → enter results after each round.

Heats + finals

Swimmers are split into heats and the best times advance to the A or B final. The format for larger meets and school championships with a large number of starts.

How to: Create tournament → Configure → number of groups and advancing swimmers → Generate groups → Generate play-off.

Relays and team competitions

Schools or clubs compete in 4 × 50 m relays – every team has its own time, a team ranking in the group and optionally a final. Ideal for school swimming days.

How to: Create tournament → Configure → 1 group, no play-off → add teams → enter results.

Not sure which format to pick?

Our guides compare the formats, give recommendations by number of swimmers and pool lanes, and share tips on event order and age categories.

Tip: For a single event choose a race with events and categories; for a whole season, a league with points for every round.

Swimming – FAQ

Can one swimmer compete in several events?

Yes. A swimmer enters each event separately (e.g. 50 m freestyle and 100 m backstroke) and has separate rankings in their age category in each one.

How do I enter times and disqualifications?

You enter the time in minutes, seconds and hundredths; a swimmer who was disqualified or did not start is marked in one click and shown correctly in the rankings.

Is it suitable for school swimming races too?

Yes. Even a school race with 50 pupils and three events gets its own start list, times and results by year – clearly and in a few minutes.

How much does it cost?

The basics are free – you can create and run a race, league or tournament at no charge.
