Why organise snowboarding with Blyzer?

Rider registration

Snowboarders sign up via a link into a category by age and discipline and your start list with bib numbers is ready.

Start list and heats

Set the format – a race on time or scores, heats with a final, a parallel bracket or a cup over several rounds – and the system prepares the schedule.

Times, scores and rankings

Enter run times or judges' scores and the category and overall rankings are recalculated automatically.

Season history

An archive of races and cups – results and rankings are never lost.

The most common snowboard race and league formats

Choose the format that fits your race – Blyzer generates the start list, heats and cup standings. You can set up any format in the wizard in a few minutes.

Race

Slalom, giant slalom or a freestyle contest – every rider goes for themselves and the ranking is decided by time, or by the score of the best of two runs. Results by category and overall.

How to: Create race → Configure → categories and scoring method → open registration → enter times or scores.

Boardercross – heats + finals

Riders start in heats of four or six and the best from each advance to the semi-finals and final. The most exciting format for spectators and riders alike.

How to: Create tournament → Configure → number of groups and advancing riders → Generate groups → Generate play-off.

Parallel slalom – bracket

Two riders side by side, lose and you are out. Seeding by qualifying times, optionally with a small final for 3rd place. Great for corporate and club events.

How to: Create tournament → Configure → no groups, play-off only → Seed riders → Generate bracket.

Cup for the whole winter

A series of races over the season – points in the standings for every round, an overall cup winner at the end. For clubs, schools, resorts and snowpark series.

How to: Create league → Configure → number of rounds and points system → Generate schedule → enter results after each round.

Not sure which format to pick?

Our guides compare the formats, give recommendations by number of riders and time on the slope, and share tips on start order and freestyle judging.

Tip: For a single day choose a two-run race or a boardercross with heats; for the whole winter, a cup with points per round.

Snowboarding – FAQ

Can freestyle be judged by scores instead of time?

Yes. In a race you choose scoring by points – you enter the score for each run and either the best run or the total counts towards the rankings, depending on how you set it up.

How does a boardercross with heats of four work?

You split the riders into groups of 4 or 6 by qualifying times, for example two advance from each heat, and the system generates the semi-finals and final.

Is it suitable for school snowboard races too?

Yes. Even a ski and snowboard course race with 20 pupils gets its own start list, times and results by category – clearly and in a few minutes.

How much does it cost?

The basics are free – you can create and run a race, cup or tournament at no charge.
