Why organise cycling with Blyzer?

An overview of entries by course and category, ready to print or display at the start.

Results and rankings

Enter the times and Blyzer ranks riders overall and in categories by age, gender or bike type.

Season history

An archive of races and seasons – results lists and course records are never lost.

The most common cycling competition formats

Choose the format that fits your event – Blyzer prepares the start list, results and standings. You can set up any format in the wizard in a few minutes.

Race

A classic cycling race – every rider starts for themselves and the finish time decides the ranking. For road races, time trials, MTB marathons, cyclocross and kids' races with several courses.

How to: Create race → Configure → courses and categories → open entries → enter times → show rankings.

Cycling cup / league

A series of races over the season – riders collect points for their placing in each round and the overall standings add up. For regional MTB cups, cyclocross series and club leagues.

How to: Create league → Configure → number of rounds and points system → Generate schedule → enter results as you go.

Team competition

A team competition – clubs, schools or corporate teams collect points for their riders' placings or compete in a team time trial. The team with the best total wins.

How to: Create tournament → Configure → 1 group, no play-off → add teams → enter points or times.

Knockout heats

Heats, semi-finals and finals as a knockout bracket – the best from each heat advance. Suitable for sprints, pump track, BMX and spectator-friendly city formats.

How to: Create tournament → Configure → no groups, play-off only → Seed riders → Generate bracket.

Not sure which format to pick?

Our guides compare the formats, give recommendations by number of riders and courses, and share tips on entries, bib numbers and timing.

Tip: For a one-off race choose a race with categories; for a series of races over the season, a cup with points.

Cycling – FAQ

Can the race be split into several courses and categories?

Yes. You set the courses (e.g. short and long, kids' circuit) and categories by age, gender or bike type – each has its own start list and results.

How do I enter riders' times?

You enter the times manually by bib number or upload them in bulk. Blyzer builds the overall rankings and category rankings from them.

Is it suitable for small club or kids' races too?

Yes. Even a race with 30 participants or a kids' race on a circuit gets online entries, a start list and results – no paper lists.

Can I organise a cup with several rounds?

Yes. Create a league, set the number of rounds and points for placings – the overall cup standings add up automatically after every race.

How much does it cost?

The basics are free – you can create and organise a cycling race or cup at no charge.
