The most common ski race and league formats

Choose the format that fits your race – Blyzer generates the start list, results and cup standings. You can set up any format in the wizard in a few minutes.

Race

Slalom, giant slalom or a cross-country course – every competitor goes for themselves and the time, or the total of two runs, decides the ranking. Results by category and overall.

A series of races over the season – points in the standings for every round, an overall cup winner at the end. For clubs, schools, resorts and corporate ski leagues.

Team race

Schools, clubs or corporate teams compete in groups and the best advance to knockout runs. Ideal for ski days and winter olympics.

Not sure which format to pick?

Our guides compare the formats, give recommendations by number of competitors and time on the slope, and share tips on start order and categories.

Tip: For a single day on the slope choose a two-run race; for the whole winter, a cup with points for every round.

Skiing – FAQ

Can the race be split by age categories?

Yes. For each category (U10, U12, juniors, adults, masters) you create separate rankings, while the start list can be shared.

How is a two-run race scored?

You enter the time from each run and the total decides the ranking. A competitor who did not finish or was disqualified is marked and shown correctly in the rankings.

Is it suitable for school ski races too?

Yes. Even a ski course race with 30 pupils gets its own start list, times and results – clearly and in a few minutes.

How much does it cost?

The basics are free – you can create and run a race, cup or tournament at no charge.
