Most popular Mario Kart tournament and league formats

Pick the format that fits your event – Blyzer generates the schedule, scoring and standings. You can set up any format in the wizard in a few minutes.

Grand Prix (points-based competition)

All players in one lobby play 4–12 races, placement points for every race (15-12-10-9-8
). Overall standings by total points – the classic Mario Kart format for parties and online.

How to: Create race → Configure → placement points → number of races → enter results after every race.

Time trial

Every player runs the chosen track in Time Trial mode, ranked by best time. Players take turns on one console or upload their time from home – ideal for schools and open challenges.

How to: Create race → Configure → ranking by time → track and deadline → players upload their times.

Qualifying groups + final

With more players than fit in a lobby or around one console, split them into groups (of 4 or 12). The best from each group advance to the final Grand Prix.

How to: Create tournament → Configure → number of groups and qualifiers → Generate groups → final race.

Single-elimination bracket (1v1 duels)

Two players, one track (or BO3), the faster one advances. The most exciting format for a LAN party or company tournament in front of an audience, optionally with a 3rd-place match.

How to: Create tournament → Configure → no groups, play-off only → Seed players → Generate bracket.

Long-term league

A multi-week season – one cup every week, placement points add up in the league standings. For school clubs, company leagues and groups of friends.

How to: Create league → Configure → number of rounds and players → Generate schedule → enter results as you go.
