Works for school esports leagues, Discord communities and LAN events – 3v3, 2v2 and 1v1, all platforms thanks to cross-play.

Why organise Rocket League on Blyzer?

Team registration

Teams sign up via a link, the captain fills in the roster and in-game names – ideal for 3v3 and 2v2.

Swiss, groups and bracket

Choose an RLCS-style format – a Swiss stage followed by an elimination bracket – and the schedule builds itself.

Series results

Record the result of a BO3 or BO5 series and Blyzer recalculates the standings, goal difference and progression to the next round.

Cross-play

PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Switch in one tournament – you handle the organisation, teams set up the game in a private match.

Most popular Rocket League tournament and league formats

From an RLCS-style Swiss stage to a school league for the whole semester. Pick a format and Blyzer generates the schedule, standings and bracket – you can set it all up in the wizard in a few minutes.

Swiss + top 8 bracket

The RLCS Major format: 16 teams play a Swiss stage where opponents are assigned by current record, and the top 8 advance to the elimination bracket. Nobody is out after the first loss.

How to: Create tournament → Configure → Swiss system → number of rounds → Generate rounds → Generate play-off for the top 8.

Groups + play-off

Teams are split into groups, play round-robin BO3 and the best advance to the bracket. The most common format for school and community Rocket League tournaments with 8 to 16 teams.

How to: Create tournament → Configure → number of groups and qualifiers → Generate groups → Generate play-off.

Single-elimination bracket

Lose a series and you're out – a fast format for a single evening or LAN event. Seeding by ranking or by draw, the final is usually BO5 or BO7.

How to: Create tournament → Configure → no groups, play-off only → Seed teams → Generate bracket.

Double elimination

Every team gets two chances – after the first loss they continue in the losers' bracket and can fight their way back to the grand final. A fairer format for 1v1 and 3v3 tournaments.

How to: Create tournament → Configure → double-elimination play-off → Generate bracket.

Long-term league

A multi-week season – one BO3 or BO5 round every week, standings with points, goal difference and head-to-head results, play-offs at the end. For school leagues and Discord communities.

How to: Create league → Configure → number of rounds and teams → Generate schedule → enter results as you go.

Race / points-based competition

No match schedule – players sign up individually and collect points or scores: most wins over a weekend, best time in a training pack or a ladder from 1v1 duels. Rankings are compiled automatically.

How to: Create race → Configure → scoring (more = better or best time) → open registration → players record their scores.

Rocket League – FAQ

Can teams on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Switch play together?

Yes. Rocket League has full cross-play, so all platforms can be in one tournament. Teams set up a private match in the game with the password you send them.

How do I set up BO3 and BO5 series?

You choose the series length when configuring the tournament – for example BO3 in the groups and BO5 in the play-offs. Record the result as 2:1 or 3:0 and the bracket advances automatically.

Is it suitable for a school league too?

Yes. A 3v3 school league over a whole semester is one of the most common formats – one round every week, running standings and play-offs at the end for the school championship.

How many teams can the Swiss format handle?

Practically unlimited – 5 rounds are enough for 16 teams, then a top 8 bracket. With fewer teams we recommend groups + play-off.

How much does it cost?

The basics are free – you can create and run a tournament, league or points-based competition at no charge.
