Why organise Tetris on Blyzer?

Player registration

Players sign up via a link with their in-game name and rank, you just confirm the starting list and seeding.

1v1 bracket

A single or double elimination bracket for TETR.IO battles – first to 7, BO3 or BO5 – generated automatically.

Placement points

A Tetris 99 lobby over several matches – record the placements and Blyzer totals the points and running standings.

Sprint and blitz

A competition for the fastest 40 lines or the highest score in 2 minutes – ranked by time or score.

Most popular Tetris tournament and league formats

Tetris has 1v1 battles, battle royale and solo records – Blyzer handles all three. Pick a format and the system generates the bracket, points or leaderboard; you can set it all up in the wizard in a few minutes.

1v1 single-elimination bracket

1v1 battles in TETR.IO or Puyo Puyo Tetris – a series to a set number of wins (first to 7, BO5), lose and you're out. Seeding by rank or qualifier, optionally with a 3rd-place match.

How to: Create tournament → Configure → no groups, play-off only → Seed players → Generate bracket.

Double elimination

Every player gets two chances – after the first loss they continue in the losers' bracket. The standard for community TETR.IO tournaments, where one bad start shouldn't decide the whole tournament.

How to: Create tournament → Configure → double-elimination play-off → Generate bracket.

Groups + play-off

Players are split into groups, play 1v1 round-robin and the best advance to the bracket. A clear format for school tournaments with 8 to 32 players, where everyone gets more matches.

How to: Create tournament → Configure → number of groups and qualifiers → Generate groups → Generate play-off.

Race / points-based competition

Players sign up individually – either a Tetris 99 lobby over several matches with placement points, or a solo challenge: the fastest 40L sprint or the highest blitz score. Ranked by points, time or score, with no match schedule.

How to: Create race → Configure → scoring (more = better or best time) → open registration → players record their results.

Long-term league

A multi-week season – one scheduled 1v1 round or a new sprint challenge every week, standings with points. For Discord communities, school clubs and senior clubs.

How to: Create league → Configure → number of rounds and players → Generate schedule → enter results as you go.

How does it work for Tetris?

  1. Create a tournament, league or competition

In the wizard, set the game (TETR.IO, Tetris 99, other), the format – 1v1 bracket, groups, points-based competition – and the series length, e.g. first to 7.

  2. Invite players

Send a registration link – players state their in-game name and rank; announce the private room or lobby code in the description.

  3. Record results

After every series, record the result; for sprint and blitz, players record their own time or score – Blyzer instantly recalculates the bracket and rankings.

For organisers

Less admin in spreadsheets, more time for playing. Players and spectators see the current bracket, rankings and round schedule – on the web and on mobile.

  • Registration via linkPlayers sign up themselves, you just confirm.
  • 1v1 bracketSeeding and progression generated automatically.

Tetris – FAQ

How do I set up a first to 7 or BO5 series?

You choose the series length when configuring the tournament. Record the result as 7:4 or 3:1 and the bracket advances automatically. TETR.IO and Puyo Puyo Tetris have their own counter in private rooms.

Can I run a Tetris 99 tournament?

Yes. Create a points-based competition – players play an agreed number of matches in a private lobby, you record the placements and Blyzer totals the points.

How do I verify sprint times or blitz scores?

Require a screenshot or a link to the player's TETR.IO profile, where records are public, in the rules. The organiser can adjust a recorded result.

Can PC and Switch players play together?

Not in the same match – TETR.IO is on PC, Tetris 99 on Switch. But within one tournament you can have separate groups or points-based competitions for each game.

How much does it cost?

The basics are free – you can create and run a tournament, league or points-based competition at no charge.
