Why organise archery with Blyzer?

Competitor registration

Archers sign up via a link, you split them into divisions by bow type and category, and your start list is ready.

Qualification and eliminations

Set the format – a qualification round, an elimination bracket or a league with rounds – and the system prepares the schedule.

Scores and rankings

Set points, hits in the centre and the final rankings are recalculated automatically once you enter the results.

Competition history

An archive of seasons with results and rankings – every archer can see their progress.

The most common archery competition formats

Choose the format that fits your competition – Blyzer generates the start list, bracket and standings. You can set up any format in the wizard in a few minutes.

Race

A qualification round – every archer shoots the same number of arrows (e.g. 60 or 72) and the total score decides the ranking. Competitors enter individually and the results go straight into the rankings.

How to: Create race → Configure → categories and scoring → open registration → enter scores.

Elimination bracket

After qualification you seed the best into a 1-on-1 bracket – set matches, lose and you are out. The classic Olympic round format, including the bronze medal match.

How to: Create tournament → Configure → no groups, play-off only → Seed competitors by qualification → Generate bracket.

Groups + play-off

Archers or teams are split into groups, shoot round-robin matches and the best advance to the bracket. Suitable for team competitions and club mixed events.

How to: Create tournament → Configure → number of groups and advancing teams → Generate groups → Generate play-off.

Season-long league

An indoor or club league over several rounds in the season – points from each round add up in the standings. For clubs, sections and regional leagues.

How to: Create league → Configure → number of rounds and participants → Generate schedule → enter results as you go.

Not sure which format to pick?

Our guides compare the formats, give recommendations by number of competitors and target butts, and share tips on splitting into divisions and categories.

Tip: For a one-day competition choose qualification plus a bracket for the top 8 or 16; for a whole season, a league with rounds.

How does it work for archery?

  1. Create a competition, tournament or league

Archery – FAQ

Can competitors be split by bow type and age category?

Yes. For each category (recurve, compound, barebow, cadets, juniors, seniors) you create separate rankings or a separate competition – depending on how you want to announce the winners.

How do I enter qualification and eliminations?

In a race you enter each archer's total score; in a tournament you seed the best into the bracket and record the results of the set matches.

Is it suitable for small club competitions too?

Yes. Even a club indoor shoot with 20 archers gets its own start list, results and rankings – Blyzer sets it up clearly in a few minutes.

How much does it cost?

The basics are free – you can create and shoot a competition, tournament or league at no charge.

Ready to organise an archery competition?
