Why organise pickleball with Blyzer?

Player and pair registration

Players or pairs sign up via a link, you split them by category or skill level and your participant list is ready.

Match schedule

Set the format – groups, play-off or round-robin – and the system builds the schedule with court assignments.

Results and standings

Enter the result in games (e.g. 11:7, 11:9) and the points, game ratio and rankings are recalculated automatically.

Tournament history

An archive of tournaments and league seasons – results and player rankings are never lost.

The most common pickleball tournament and league formats

Choose the format that fits your tournament – Blyzer generates the schedule, standings and bracket. You can set up any format in the wizard in a few minutes.

Groups + play-off

Pairs or players are split into groups, play round-robin, and the best advance to a knockout bracket. The most common format for one-day pickleball tournaments.

How to: Create tournament → Configure → number of groups and advancing teams → Generate groups → Generate play-off.

Round-robin

Everyone plays every opponent and the standings and game ratio decide the final order. Ideal for club tournaments of up to 8 pairs – everyone gets plenty of matches.

How to: Create tournament → Configure → 1 group, no play-off → Generate matches.

Knockout bracket

Lose and you are out – a fast format for a large number of players, optionally with a 3rd-place match. Seeding by ranking or by draw.

How to: Create tournament → Configure → no groups, play-off only → Seed players → Generate bracket.

Double elimination

Every pair gets two chances – after the first loss it continues in the losers' bracket. A popular pickleball tournament format that is fairer than a single knockout.

How to: Create tournament → Configure → double elimination play-off → Generate bracket.

Season-long league

A season over several weeks – rounds by calendar, standings with points and game ratio. For clubs, communities and corporate leagues; players arrange their matches themselves.

How to: Create league → Configure → number of rounds and participants → Generate schedule → enter results as you go.

Not sure which format to pick?

Our guides compare the formats, give recommendations by number of players and courts, and share tips on seeding and court scheduling.

Tip: With 8–12 pairs and 2 courts, go for 2–3 groups + play-off; with several weeks, choose a league.

Pickleball – FAQ

Can a tournament run doubles and mixed doubles at the same time?

Yes. For each category (singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, mixed) you create a separate tournament or separate groups – a player can compete in several.

How do I enter a result in games to 11 points?

You enter the score of each game (e.g. 11:8, 9:11, 11:6) or just the result in games – the system works out the standings points as well as the game and point ratio.

Which format should I choose for 12 pairs and 3 courts?

We recommend 3 groups of 4 pairs and a play-off for the top 8 – everyone plays at least 3 matches and the tournament fits into one day.

How much does it cost?

The basics are free – you can create and run a tournament or league at no charge.
