The most common shooting competition and league formats

Choose the format that fits your competition – Blyzer generates the start list, results and league standings. You can set up any format in the wizard in a few minutes.

Race

A classic shooting competition – every shooter fires the same number of shots (e.g. 40 or 60) for themselves and the total score decides the ranking. Results by discipline and category.

How to: Create race → Configure → disciplines and categories → open registration → enter scores.

Shooting league

A club or regional league over several rounds in the season – points or scores from each round add up in the individual and team standings.

How to: Create league → Configure → number of rounds and points system → Generate schedule → enter results after each round.

Finals and duels

After qualification the best shooters advance to a final or 1-on-1 knockout duels – the lower score is out. An exciting format for spectators and club championships.

How to: Create tournament → Configure → no groups, play-off only → Seed shooters by qualification → Generate bracket.

Team competition

Clubs or corporate teams compete in groups – the sum of the team members' scores counts and the best advance to the final matches. Ideal for corporate events at the range.

How to: Create tournament → Configure → number of groups and advancing teams → Generate groups → Generate play-off.

Not sure which format to pick?

Our guides compare the formats, give recommendations by number of shooters and firing points at the range, and share tips on splitting into relays and categories.

Tip: For a one-day competition choose a race with categories and a final for the top 8; for a whole season, a league with rounds.

How does it work for sport shooting?

Sport shooting – FAQ

Can I enter scores per series or only the total?

Both. You can enter just the total score or the points for each series (e.g. 4 × 10 shots) – the system adds them up and ranks shooters in every category.

How is a tie between two shooters resolved?

You set the tie-break criteria (number of inner tens, last series) according to the rules of your competition and the rankings follow them automatically.

Can it run a team competition alongside individuals?

Yes. Shooters sign up as individuals and as team members – you keep separate individual rankings and separate team rankings based on the sum of scores.

How much does it cost?

The basics are free – you can create and shoot a competition, league or tournament at no charge.
